Smachoface is the collaborative, demo driven project of Adam O’ Donovan.

Formerly releasing two studio albums under the indie-folk moniker M’ADAM, Adam introduced this new chapter with the lo-fi single Run of the Mill Guy in summer 2024. Under the name smachoface, he explores a hazier, more nonchalant sound, collaborating with local artists to create music that feels half-awake, casual yet existential, ironic but sincere. The project celebrates low-stakes everyday moments, searches for fun amid the quiet disasters of the modern world, wrestles with second-hand cool, and lingers on flashes of hopeful nostalgia.
